What does managed hosting include?

Every KVS Service managed hosting plan includes the following at no additional cost:

• Initial server setup — operating system installation, control panel deployment (ispmanager), core software configuration based on your requirements and our best practices developed over years of hosting experience.
• 24/7/365 technical support — our support team responds to tickets within 30 minutes, around the clock, every day of the year. Issues are resolved on a first-come, first-served basis.
• OS and software updates — we keep your server's operating system and installed packages up to date using standard repositories, either on your request or proactively when security updates are released.
• Core service troubleshooting — if Nginx, Apache, MySQL, PHP, ProFTPd, Bind, Postfix, Exim, or Sendmail encounters issues, our team diagnoses and resolves the problem.
• Configuration changes — need to adjust PHP memory limits, MySQL buffer sizes, Nginx timeouts, or any other server parameter? Submit a request and our team will implement the changes.
• Website migration — we transfer your websites from other hosting providers to your new KVS Service server, including DNS guidance and testing.
• Security scanning — antivirus scanning of your websites using ClamAV and AI-Bolit upon request.
• PHP extension installation — additional PHP modules from standard repositories installed on demand.
• DDoS protection — free always-on protection up to 40 Gbit/s, upgradeable to 1 Tbps.

How is managed hosting different from unmanaged?

With unmanaged hosting, you receive a bare server with network connectivity and nothing else. You are responsible for every aspect of server operation: installing and configuring the OS, setting up firewalls, managing SSL certificates, optimizing database performance, applying security patches, troubleshooting outages, and everything in between. This requires in-house system administration expertise and the availability to respond to server issues at any time. Managed hosting eliminates this burden by providing professional server administration as part of the hosting service. You still have full root access and complete control, but you also have a team of experts who can handle the infrastructure work for you.

We offer ispmanager licenses in three tiers:

• ispmanager lite (€6.49/mo) — for personal use and small projects, up to 10 websites
• ispmanager pro (€11.49/mo) — for web studios and growing businesses, up to 50 websites
• ispmanager host (€22.99/mo) — for hosting resellers, unlimited websites and user accounts

The control panel is installed and configured during initial server setup as part of the managed hosting service. You can also run your server without a control panel using the command line if you prefer.
